Baptist Theology: A Critical Look

Pray for the SBC Convention! Here's the story: http://www.cnn.com/2004/EDUCA...
Seems a former second vice president of the SBC wants Baptists to abandon godless public schools.
A few years ago, Southern Baptists decided to take Jesus out of their religion. Took him out of the Baptist Faith and Message statement so that they wouldn't have to use him as the criteria for interpreting the Old Testament. Soon they'll start stoning disobedient children! (Deuteronomy 21:18-21 )
Jesus was a friend of sinners (Mt 11:19), but Southern Baptists want to seperate themselves from sinners. A truly impossible and unbiblical task!
This resolution, if passed will demonstrate how extreme the SBC has become. Longshot will be keeping an eye open during this summer's convention to see what outrageous fundamentalist paranoia has surfaced lately.
